Facebook does seem to have yielded to the pressure of not having an iPad app - never mind that the iPhone already has a Facebook app on the Apple App Store when it opened in July a few years ago. Winds of change are a-comin' as there are industry insiders who claim that Facebook is on its way to introduce a free iPad application which has been specially designed and optimized for the tablet.
In production for almost a year, and having gone through several design iterations, it should be in its final stages of testing now. Other than that, no further details were released, since the product plans are strictly confidential.
Those who have seen the application claim that it boasts a slick design which has been specially tailored for the iPad and its touchscreen interface. It seems that the Facebook Chat and Facebook Groups features will be overhauled as well, and you can even shoot and upload photos and videos using the iPad's built-in camera to boot.
Initial impressions have been nothing short of positive, so hopefully all this good vibes will be translated to a stunning app when it arrives.
