Apple Launches Shorter 0.5M Lightning To USB Cable And Tweaked In-Ear Headphones

Apple has made just launched a new 0.5m Lightning to USB cable and a tweaked version of In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic.

The standard Lightning to USB cable that comes with a 1 meter cable is still available. So it looks like an option for users who are looking for less cable clutter.

Strangely, the shorter cable isn’t cheaper. The 0.5m Lightning to USB cable is available for $19, which is the same as standard Lightning to USB cable.

Apple also seems to have also made minor changes to In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic. Based on the photo, the remote and microphone seems to sport a more rounded design like the EarPods, which were launched in September and come bundled with the iPhone 5. It’s not clear if Apple has made any other changes to improve the audio quality. In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic is available for $79.
